I am not responsible for the loss of head

Hi Everyone

We are just about ready now for the big off, We have now decided on the week after Easter this will enable us to miss he Easter rush. As you can see we are busy cleaning the boat and getting her spick and span for the trip, unfortunately we will not have the Buggerlugs with full sign writing before we go we have just learnt that our sign writer has died, in the big scheme of things a few more letters on the side of the boat seem very insignificant.

Elliot was here yesterday and as you can see managed to bag a nice little silver bream more that Russel and I could manage

Hi again

Well we had a full day today we had Lorraine, Vici, Thomas and three fishermen Matthew, Elliot, and Russel we had a good day though the weather was blustery and quite chilly, I allowed the fishermen to get on with it but they had very little luck I waited until they had all gone and had half an hour to myself when I caught three like this one. Sorry lads you should have listened to my instructions ??????

Two nights ago I took this photo of the night sky threaded with vapour trails

very nice.

Great Company, great day,

New House Guests

Check this out

We have started our own animal "drop in"

I haven't seen Herbie for ages I think he has gone off on the pop

We have a new regular, Donald; he comes for a meal and of course he brings his missus Daphne, he gets our attention by knocking on the window. He is not allowed in because he is a bit rough and always causing trouble

and people say "why do you live on a boat" I just Smile

Up Date

Hi

It would seem that every time I write this blog it is either Visitors or Fishing but maybe that's all that happens, I could tell you that we are busy getting Buggerlugs ready for the spring cruise, she needs the hull painting, the upper structure requires a touching up, she needs oiling, greasing, waxing, we need to get another loo, a top box for storage, a drag anchor for the rivers,

I need to fit a few extra bit and bobs (that's a nautical term for boys toys) then she will be ready.

Anyway we had visitors today only six so it was a quiet day we entertained Viki, Julie, Russel, Rachael, Elliot and Matthew great day was had by all Julie though went home to bed because the boat wears her out???? Russ however has got the bug and is desperate to catch a Pike he dropped two today but I am sure it will not be long before he has his picture on here holding a big one??

Elliot and Rach tested our new two way radios and gave the a good run they went to the cafe and radioed back what type of ice cream we wanted good idea or what.

Rach is becoming a good angler though she needs to understand that if the float goes under it normally means a fish has attached itself to the hook the picture shows her overcoming her fear and touching a fish (in the bucket)

OK all speak soon

Great day out

The Mario Brothers: (with offspring) Catch any fish, anywhere, any time with anything
You have seen the Deadliest Catch Now see the real thing

Family Fishing

Great day today on the boat Keith and Mat came over for a days fishing. Keith intended to catch a big Perch, which he did twice Now that's unusual because when he says he is going to catch a big Perch or any other type of fish you can guarantee he catches everything But. Mat on the other hand just came to relax and catch what ever was came up he did extremely well with a total of over 30 fish. I on the other hand was far to busy giving my advice making brews, and lunch, I also had a long enjoyable walk with Lorraine.

A great day on the canal, were is Noreen in all this I here you say Noreen is away on a Girlie weekend in Derbyshire for her birthday treat.

Visits

The Engaged Couple
Feeding the Ducks

So far over the Christmas break we have had quite a few visitors, Maryanne on Boxing day which was her birthday 30 I cannot believe it either. it was also the day Maryanne & Gregg became an engaged couple.
Yesterday we had a motley crew from Blackburn, John, Julie, Vici, Russel, Rachel, Bethany, and last but not least Elliot. We were suppose to go for a sail but the who canal is frozen, it ended up very cosy the weather was freezing but we all huddled together and had a great day. Breaking ice, Fishing, feeding the ducks and eating.
